CMS 006 contains Vincenzo Bocchimuzzo’s handwritten dramas, essays and poems in Italian. These serve as a commentary of Italian events from Bocchimuzzo’s dispute with the pastor of his church in the 1900s through the death of Mussolini and the end of World War II in 1945. His works provide insight into how one working-class migrant living in New York City viewed events in his Italian homeland from the 1920s through the end of World War II.
