This collection contains materials related to the Church of Saint Lazarus in East Boston, Massachusetts. The parish was founded in 1892 and a chapel was built in 1908. The parish was served by Louis (Lodovico) Toma from 1911 until his death in 1961. The collection mostly contains his sermons from the 1910s and notebooks generated during his time in seminary. The collection also includes publications about the church, as well as correspondence related to the maintenance of the church in the early period, newspaper clippings, and other ephemeral documents including photographs, prayer cards, and some other documents.
