CMS 094 documents the history of Saint Anthony of Padua in Buffalo, New York from shortly after the parish’s founding in 1891 through the 1980s via correspondence, financial records, newspaper clippings, photographs, souvenir publications and miscellaneous documents. The collection contains information on the Italian-American community in western New York State, the history of Buffalo through the period of urban renewal in the 1960s and 1970s, and the early years in the United States of the Society of Saint Charles-Scalabrinians, the congregation of priests that staffed the parish from its founding until 2012.
