COVID-19

The COVID-19 pandemic has disproportionately affected immigrants, increased the need to migrate, and led to unprecedented restrictions on mobility. CMS publications, webinars, and other resources have focused on the factors placing migrants and refugees at risk, as well as the crucial role immigrants and refugees have played in pandemic response and recovery.

COVID-19

CMS’s research has examined the extraordinary contributions of immigrant workers in the United States, including those categorized as essential, coupled with the exclusion of undocumented immigrants from many COVID-19-related programs. It has also covered the spread of COVID-19 through the US detention system; local efforts to include immigrants in COVID-19 relief plans; and COVID-related developments and policy changes.
