International Migration Scholarship in the 21st Century: Critical Issues, Critical Questions
September 30, 2014 09:30 AM - 05:15 PM

For 50 years, the International Migration Review (IMR) has led social science research and analysis in the field of international migration, population dynamics, ethnic group relations and refugee movements. In commemoration of this milestone, the Center for Migration Studies (CMS) released a Special Golden Anniversary Issue of IMR featuring a collection of outstanding articles relevant to a diverse, worldwide, multidisciplinary readership. The papers aim to advance the research frontier on international migration and push the theoretical and empirical debate forward. The special anniversary papers are available for free through 2015.
To celebrate IMR‘s 50th Anniversary and the forthcoming release of IMR‘s Special Golden Anniversary Issue, CMS convened authors, editors, members of the IMR Editorial Board, and other scholars for an all-day symposium to discuss persisting and emerging topics and trends in the field of international migration.
The series and symposium are part of CMS’s yearlong celebration of its 50th Anniversary and was made possible through the support of the Porticus Foundation.
