The Center for Migration Studies hosted a webinar on September 6, 2018 to discuss its recent report, “The US Refugee Resettlement Program – A Return to First Principles: How Refugees Help to Define, Strengthen, and Revitalize the United States,” commissioned by Catholic Charities USA, Catholic Relief Services, and the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops, Migration and Refugee Services. The report examines the achievements and contributions made by refugees resettled in the United States and how refugees integrate successfully into US society. Using findings from the report, speakers also discussed ways to influence the administration and Congress to support the US Refugee Program and return it to a more robust level of refugee admissions.
