Rev. Angelo Plodari, c.s. is the Provincial Superior of Province St. Charles Borromeo of the Congregation of the Missionaries of St. Charles – Scalabrinians, a worldwide Roman Catholic Religious Missionary Community of priests and religious brothers, established in 1887 with the specific purpose to provide spiritual and charitable assistance to migrants. As the Provincial Superior, Rev. Plodari oversees all Scalabrinian ministry activities in parishes, missions, seminaries, centers for migrants, research and advocacy initiatives in Colombia, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Haiti, Venezuela, Eastern Provinces of Canada, and Eastern States of the United States of America.
Rev. Angelo Plodari, c.s. was born in Orzinuovi, Brescia, Italy on December 31, 1973. He has been a Scalabrinian religious since the profession of his first vows on May 31, 1999 and he was ordained to the priesthood on July 3, 2004. Since then, he has served as a Scalabrinian missionary priest, with over a decade of experience in the formation of future priests at the Scalabrinian seminaries in Bogotá, Colombia. He holds a Theology Degree from the Pontifical Lateran University, in Rome, Italy, a Masters in Project Management and a Masters in Social Media & Community Management from CEUPE – Centro Europeo de Postgrado in Madrid, Spain, and a Certificate in Leadership Principles from Harvard Business School.
Since October 2018, he has exercised his pastoral ministry as Administrator of Our Lady of Pompeii Church, in Greenwich Village, New York, NY. In June 2020, he started his mandate as Provincial Superior of Province St. Charles Borromeo and President of the Corporate Boards of the Society of St. Charles and the Center for Migration Studies of New York.
