As part of the study of the “new immigration,” scholars have acknowledged, but little studied, the Greek immigration to the United States from 1890-1921. Two important factors that led to the neglect of this subject were linguistic inability and unavailability of sources and materials. Also, neither in numbers nor in influence have the Greeks in the United States played as an important role as some other ethnic groups in the history of the United States. Still the Greeks are a part of the history of American immigration and a part of the people of 20th Century America. This bibliographic guide covers works and materials dealing with the Greeks in the United States from 1890-1968.
