Italian Americans in the '80s: A Sociodemographic Profile
Edited by Graziano Battistella
1989

On the basis of published and unpublished U.S. census data, this volume offers for the first time a comparison between immigrants and native-born, and Italians of early and late generation. Four specialists analyze in detail: demographic and cultural aspects, education, family life, economic characteristics, and geographic distribution of Italian Americans. Six appendices collect over 100 tables that are intended to provide a cursory overview of the data, which serve as a practical point of reference.
