Italian Fascist Activities in the United States
Gaetano Salvemini
1977

Italian Fascist Activities in the United States is a previously unpublished study of the major organizations, methods, and personalities in the Italian Fascist movement in the United States from 1922 to 1936, by one of the leading figures in the Italian anti-Fascist resistance. Salvemini examined countless newspapers, books, and periodicals in order to compile this valuable study of Fascism in America, reconstructing not only the policies of the Italian government but also the reactions and activities of the Italian-Americans. The first major work on the subject, it provides a detailed and often revealing look at a now-forgotten aspect of the Italian experience in the United States, written by one of Italy’s great historians.
