Migration, Religious Experience, and Globalization

The present volume is a collection of some of the main talks and workshops presented during the First Conference on Migration and Theology entitled Migration and Religious Experience in the Context of Globalization, which took place in Tijuana (Mexico) from January 24-27, 2002. The two North American Provinces of the Scalabrinian Missionaries collaborated with the Transborder Institute of the University of San Diego (CA) to organize this event with the objective of celebrating the 100th anniversary of Bishop Giovanni Battista Scalabrini’s visit to the Italian immigrants and his newly founded missionaries in the United States.
