This study is part of a research project on the history of the Swedish agricultural workers. Beside demonstrating and analyzing the everyday life of many refugees in Sweden, this study is an attempt to broaden and deepen labor history in general. The effort has been to link labor history and refugee history, to link social history and political history into what Eric J. Hobsbawm called “history of society.”
