Vibrant Life: 1886-1942 Trenton’s Italian Americans
Erasmo S. Ciccolella
1986
After providing a general overview of the emigration of Italians to Trenton, New Jersey, Vibrant Life examines various aspects of the lives of Italian immigrants in Trenton – and their offspring – including employment; education; establishment of churches and organizations; and political, social, and cultural activities. This book examines these aspects during the period from 1886, the date of the incorporation of the first Italian American organization in Trenton, to 1942, by which time there had been vast changes in the Italian immigrants coming to the United States and in the country to which they emigrated.
