Helen B. Marrow, Assistant Professor of Sociology at Tufts University, reviews The Citizenship Practices of Indian and Vietnamese Immigrants. The book is an ethnographic study of the civic and political incorporation of two post-1965 immigrant groups and their children in Texas: Indians (a group made up largely of professionals, entrepreneurs and labor migrants) and the Vietnamese (officially a “refugee” population).
