Richard Wright, Professor of Geography at Dartmouth College, reviews The Changing Face of World Cities: Young Adult Children of Immigrants in North America and Europe. The book examines the lives of the adult children of immigrants in 17 cities across Western Europe and the US and provides a comparative analysis of second-generation immigrants. The study explores differences in housing markets, labor markets, and education systems in order to frame immigration processes, and assesses the socioeconomic outcomes of children of immigrants.
