Lubomyr Y. Luciuk, Professor of Political Geography at the Royal Military College of Canada, reviews The Ukrainian Diaspora, by Vic Satzewich. The book is about Ukrainian immigration to the United States. It explores the concept of return, both symbolic and actual, and the author questions why few Ukrainians returned to their home country after 1991. The author also draws comparisons between the Ukrainian diaspora and the Jewish diaspora to explore this concept.
