Globalization and Human Resource Management: Nonimmigrant Visa Strategies and Behavior of US Firms
The paper is split into three sections. The first section provides a background on US immigration policy and changes in the economy and employment needs as a result of the growth of knowledge-base activities. The second section outlines the three main programs using four types of nonimmigrant visas to move international personnel. The third section draws conclusions and offers recommendations for changes to immigration law.
