The article discusses migration patterns in New York City with emphasis on the boroughs of Brooklyn and Queens. It also examines the characteristics of the housing market in New York with regard to the issue of race and ethnicity as well as the social and economic adjustment of new immigrants. Taking these issues into consideration, it discusses the implications for policy and planning and the role of the Church in providing services to immigrant neighborhoods.
