This paper is a preliminary reflection on methods of pastoral service to migrants in the Scalabrinian tradition. It outlines the pastoral method, interventions carried out, proposed interventions left incomplete, as well as ideas about the future. It reviews the history of pastoral care and then analyzes the motives, methods, and models employed.
